NOTICE: The Office of Attorney/LLP Admissions is updating the website and all related admissions instructions as we move to a new admissions platform called ILG Admissions Manager. New instructions and application processes will go into effect no later than June 1, 2026. The substance of the application will not change. The new platform will be more intuitive and easier to navigate for applicants. All applications currently submitted in our current database – CiviCore – will be processed and will not be moved to the new system. We ask that all unsubmitted On Motion and UBE Score Transfer applications currently in process in CiviCore be submitted no later than May 29, 2026. We will be purging all unsubmitted applications the first week of June 2026 and ask that applicants start submitting their applications in the new ILG Admissions Manager database. If you have a submitted application in CiviCore, you do not need to complete an application with ILG Admission Manager. Our Office will continue the processing of your application in CiviCore.
General Information – Admission via UBE Score Transfer. Admission to practice law based upon a Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) score achieved in another state or territory of the United States or in the District of Columbia within three years preceding application for admission to the Bar of Colorado. UBE scores achieved more than three years but less than five years preceding application to Colorado may be combined with two years of law practice experience immediately preceding application to Colorado in order to qualify under this rule. A UBE score must be at least that required to pass the Colorado Bar Examination based upon standards of performance set by the Colorado Supreme Court. See UBE Score Transfer eligibility requirements for more information.
Notice Regarding the NextGen UBE: On March 14, 2024, the Colorado Supreme Court announced that the NextGen Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) would replace the Legacy UBE beginning with the July 2028 administration of the bar exam. Some jurisdictions will begin administering the NextGen UBE in July 2026 and thereafter, prior to Colorado administering the NextGen UBE. The Colorado Supreme Court will accept transferred NextGen UBE scores beginning with the July 2026 administration and will continue to accept Legacy UBE scores that have not expired and that were earned on administrations of the Legacy UBE through February 2028. The minimum passing standard for the NextGen UBE for scores transferred to Colorado will be announced at a later date.
