Trial Assistant (Legal Assistant) – Trial Division

The Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel seeks applications for a Trial Assistant (Legal Assistant) – Trial Division. Starting/Hiring Salary Range: $58,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on relevant experience. Duties include assisting the trial attorneys by preparing correspondence, legal documents, assembling legal authority exhibits and trial notebooks, litigation scheduling, and assists in directing questions from complainants and the inquiring public. Maintain calendars, schedules telephone conferences and meetings for trial attorneys with respondents, complainants and witnesses. Maintain case information, including notes and documents in the office database, and manage tickle system for trial cases.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal. Substantial experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal will qualify your application in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

Staff Assistant I

The Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Admissions seeks applications for a Staff Assistant I. Starting/Hiring Salary Range: $48,468 – $68,190 annually, depending on relevant experience. The Staff Assistant I for Character and Fitness provides administrative support for the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel in the Attorney/Licensed Legal Paraprofessional Admissions (“LLP”) Office in the processing and review of applicants for admission to the practice of law in Colorado. The Character and Fitness Assistant provides administrative support for background investigations of applicants; assists in gathering and monitoring of information; assembling investigation reports and exhibits; drafting correspondence; maintaining calendars; scheduling meetings and interviews; maintaining case information and document collection in the applicant database, and assisting with the administration of licensing exams. Work requires sound judgment, skill in applying the prevailing legal standards, a working style characterized by highly ethical practices, and a commitment to inclusive-excellence, openness, flexibility, and integrity.

Applicants must have an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university; a high-school diploma with four years or more working in a court or professional office experience in the legal or regulatory field may substitute for all or part of this requirement.
