Testing Accommodations and Medical Aid or Device Information


FOR THE JULY 2026 BAR EXAM, applicants will submit their accommodations documentation through Share File. To receive a personal Share File folder, email bleinfo@csc.state.co.us, Attn: Testing Accommodations.  Requests for Share File folders must be made by 5:00 p.m. MST on May 29, 2026. OAA will confirm receipt of all documentation sent via Share File within 3 business days.  OAA will send all correspondence concerning an applicant’s accommodations submission through Share File. 

MEDICAL AID OR DEVICE

Applicants applying to take the Colorado Bar Examination or LLP Examination may submit a notice to the Office of Attorney Admissions (“OAA”) of their medical aid or device. Please review the following for information, guidelines, and instructions on how to notify the OAA about your medical aid or device.

Pre-Approved Medical Aids or Devices

Complete the Notice of Medical Aid or Mobility Device Form only to notify the OAA that you will bring a Pre-Approved Medical Aid or Mobility Device into the testing room on exam day(s).

Medical items cannot interfere with the testing schedule, testing space, or change the environmental conditions of the testing room; otherwise, applicants must apply for and obtain an accommodation.

*MEDICATIONS: Prescription medications and over-the-counter medications are always allowed in the testing room, subject to security screening. Please refer to the Applicant Agreement for conditions.

TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS

Applicants applying to take the Colorado Bar Examination or LLP Examination may submit testing accommodations documentation to the OAA. Please review the following for information, guidelines, and instructions about the submission process.

All information provided by the applicant in their accommodations submission, including evidence of prior accommodations and medical treatment provider documents, will be subject to verification.

Falsified documentation, fraudulently created or procured documentation, or documentation obtained through means prohibited by law will be grounds for denial of accommodations and for a Character and Fitness investigation.  

Re-Application for Testing Accommodations

Applicants who previously testing accommodations by the OAA may be eligible to submit a Re-Application for Testing Accommodations.
